Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Apparel, Events, and Hospitality Management at Iowa State University invites applications for a Lecturer non-tenure track position.

Position responsibilities include undergraduate teaching, in a class to be determined based upon need. Lecturers will teach a variety of event management classes.

Required Education and Experience

A Master’s degree earned by the start date;

At least one degree earned must be in Event Management or a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience

- Management experience in events management;

- Teaching experience in events management, or related field, at the college level.

Department/Program & College Description

The Events Management Program at Iowa State University (ISU) is recognized as the leading events management program in the U.S. Midwest region. Faculty and students are well represented at major international conferences. There are currently 400 undergraduate majors, served by two advisors, two tenure-track faculty, and two lecturers. In addition, the hospitality management team works with the faculty and students of the Events Management Program. There is a strong working relationship with university-based entities, such as ISU Dining, the Alumni Association, ISU Athletics, the Iowa State Center, and the Memorial Union.
