Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Interior Design within the College of Design at Iowa State University is currently taking applications for a full-time lecturer or senior lecturer for fall 2018. Qualified applicants will have the ability to teach in one or more areas of an academic interior design program.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Related Field, and at least one degree in Interior Design

For those applying at the Senior Lecturer level, a minimum of 6 years of teaching experience within higher-education is required, in addition to the above.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in teaching interior design studios and/or lecture courses at the University level, in one or more areas (hand-drafting and rendering, building and fire codes, computer visualization – AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Professional Practice Experience

The approximate salary range for this position is $45,000-55,000 and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
