Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Iowa State University (ISU) in Ames, Iowa seeks candidates for a lecturer to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Responsibilities include lecturing, teaching recitation sections, and teaching elementary laboratory sections. Classroom contact hours will depend upon the specific assignments.

Required Education and Experience

PhD degree in physics or astronomy.

Preferred Education and Experience

PhD degree in Physics;

Experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level;

Teaching experience in large enrollment engineering classes;

Teaching experience in graduate level theoretical physics.
