Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The Debbie and Jerry Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University is now accepting applications for a newly created position of Program Coordinator II to act as the Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment. Responsibilities include: Developing professional relationships with companies and organizations in the Des Moines Metro to aid in the recruitment of students into the college’s graduate and certificate programs for working professionals by hosting events, attending educational fair, professional organization meetings, and promotional visits, tracking and report on applications and enrollment projections, and assisting with the creation of marketing materials and web content .

This position will office out of Des Moines Office and will be required to travel around the Des Moines Metro to make company visits and occasional meeting on Iowa State’s Ames campus.

The successful candidate will possess self-motivation, attention to detail, be highly organized, function independently but be a team player who enjoys working on team objectives, carry out responsibilities with limited supervision, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work under pressure with a variety of people and circumstances and consistently project a friendly and professional demeanor.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of related experience; OR a Master’s degree and 2 years of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 8 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.

Additional Information

Primary office location will be out of Capital Square Office location, however frequent travel around the Des Moines metro and to central campus in Ames, Iowa will be required.
