Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University seeks to fill a Senior Construction Manager. This positions acts as the Owner’s Representative during the construction phase of assigned projects. Responsible for management, coordination, and construction administration services during the construction phase of capital construction projects. Senior Construction Manager is also responsible for leadership of a construction management team that includes 3-4 construction managers, a project administrator, and student interns with responsibilities for coordinating the activities of the project team within the established departmental procedures to provide for management and oversight of assigned projects.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and related experience totaling 9 years

Supplemental Required Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience

Additional years of project management, owners representative, or construction administration experience on major commercial and/or institutional projects.

ISU experience as a Construction Manager.

Experience in the management of multiple simultaneous commercial and/or institutional projects.

Additional experience with ISU and BOR capital project related processes and procedures.
