Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

The School of Education in the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University seeks applicants for a Lecturer Pool. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Teacher Education or teaching graduate courses in related fields including Educational Administration, Higher Education, and Research/Evaluation. All potential teaching is on an “as needed basis”.

Required Education and Experience

Master’s degree in Education or closely related field;

One year of demonstrated successful teaching experience or comparable professional experience in an educational setting.

Preferred Education and Experience

Doctorate or ABD in Education or closely related field;

Additional years teaching experience in specific area;

Teaching experience at the college/university level.

For many positions teaching in the Educator Preparation Program, applicants must hold or have held a valid teaching or administrative license.
