Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

Facilities Planning and Management at Iowa State University is seeking to hire an Electrician I. This position duties are: troubleshoots, maintains and installs various electrical systems/equipment located in the heating plant and electrical distribution systems.

Required Qualifications

Requires State of Iowa Class A or B Journeyman Electrician licenses. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet University’s Fleet Safety Program.

Special Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications

Commercial/industrial experience as an electrician.
Experience with electrical controls.
Experience running conduits.
Experience with electrical system diagnostics.
Experience with three-phase electrical systems.
Experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
Experience working out of an aerial bucket lift.
Experience with underground utility locating.
